Step 1
Before signing the contract, make sure the previous tenant and vendors have moved out.
Step 2

You have got all the keys, including the mailbox key, door locks, gates and each individual room keys. Remember to replace new locks after renovation.

Step 3

If the transaction includes furniture and home appliances, make sure they are in good condition and work well.

Step 4

Check and record the water, electric and gas meters for future convenience on the billing statements.

Step 5

Double-check the wall, ceiling and windows for any leakage and clotting in pipes and sewage.

Step 6

Bring along with you a camera and make shorts for any defections, in case you find any. Your lawyer could better assist you to appeal for compensation.
